  Jordan Schessler Commits to Muhlenberg

Jordan Schessler recently committed to attend and play softball for Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania.  The Bandit Gold outfielder will be graduating from Bethpage High School in June 2010. Nicknamed the Mules, Muhlenberg College plays Div. III softball in the Centennial Conference.

     CALDWELL, N.J. - A recruiting class of eight student-athletes will be joining the Caldwell College softball team for the 2009-2010 academic year, head coach Dean Johnson announced. The class includes Kourtney Wilson (Islip, NY/St. Anthony's).

      Wilson is a four-time all-League pitcher at St. Anthony?s High School in South Huntington, N.Y. This past season, Wilson was 8-2 and helped to lead St. Anthony's to the quarterfinals of the CHSAA playoffs. As a sophomore, she tossed a perfect game en route to earning all-League honors.

Jones and Gonzales Join Amanda Ferro and Kayla Kaminsky in Class of 2013

Alexis Gonzales will arrive in Loudonville after completing a stellar career at Hauppauge. She burst onto the scene as a freshman earning First Team All-State and Louisville Slugger / NFCA High School All-Region First Team recognition in 2006. As a junior she was selected to the Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-Region Second Team after hitting .423 with 31 runs, 29 RBI and 20 stolen bases. She also committed just one error in 166 chances and was an All-County selection in basketball and an All County and All State pick in soccer.

"Alexis is another tremendous athlete who will make us better the day she steps foot on campus," Parks said. "A heavily recruited athlete, I believe she could play for any program in this region. Alexis has a rare combination of power and speed, which makes her so much fun to watch."

Before Hartford: Played six years of varsity softball at West Babylon High School; was named West Babylon's All Around Outstanding Female Athlete; four-time all-county selection; named all-league and the Defensive Player of the Year; a four-time all-tournament team honoree; an All-Long Island Second Team selection and All-State Sixth Team selection; earned the Sportsmanship Award and helped West Babylon to a NY state championship in 2008; closed out the 2008 season with a .459 batting average and 33 RBI, including a .656 slugging percentage;  played summer ball for the Long Island Bandits Gold team; completed her 2008 stint with a .539 batting average and a slugging percentage of .816, while scoring 37 runs and driving in 25 for the Bandits in 2008; also played four years of varsity volleyball and varsity basketball at West Babylon; earned all-league and all-conference honors in volleyball and was named the team's most valuable player; was an all-league and academic all-county selection for basketball; named the basketball team's most valuable player.
